The Unbridled Acres Team...
A licensed marriage and family therapist since 1983, Sue specializes in women’s issues, post abortion, addictions and spirituality. She is a popular speaker at retreats and conferences throughout the midwest. She has volunteered with Project Rachel for the past 25 years. In 2014, Sue began traveling to Beijing, China, to counsel those affected by abortion. She owns Unbridled Acres which is used for equine therapy, marriage, individual and family counseling, retreats and corporate team building.
Established in 2010, Unbridled Acres rests on 15 acres of rolling hills, pasture and timber.
Brittany came to Unbridled Acres as a volunteer in 2014 years ago. She is now our trained, certified Equine Therapist. She is enrolled in the clinical mental health counseling masters program at UNO. Brittany is exceptionally sharp and very kind. We love having her as part of our staff. With a background as an equine tech, her horse skills match her people skills...she is a great asset to our program.
Baila is the spirit of the Unbridled Acres Team. She is strong, curious, compassionate and very funny. She is a comes to us from Burwell, Ne.
Jill is the dominant "alpha female". She was rescued by us as her previous owners neglected her. She was given little attention and fought in an overcrowded barn to have her place at the table.
Maggie is our beloved golden retriever...she is everyone's friend..sometimes whether you want her or not. She is pretty needy and loves to feel close to everyone.
Our newest addition to the team, Little Bit is a full grown miniature. He is fun and lively and makes children of all ages feel comfortable.
Rosie was donated to us by a young woman in the Blair area. She had purchased her for barrel racing and later found her to be unable to run. She suffers from Navicular. Not to be broken by her deceptive seller, she donated her to Unbridled Acres to help others..."even if she can't help me"...unwavering courage and strength. We are grateful.
MAC was donated to us by a friend of Unbridled Acres. Mary has experienced much healing in working with the horses and wanted others to help others do the same.
Stephanie came to Unbridled Acres with a long resume of animal experience as a Vet Tech. Born and raised in Washington County, she has been around horses all her life. I like to tell people she was born on a horse. She is a very talented equestrian and is passionate about helping people stay safe around the horses and help them gain a passion for her passion...horses... She left Unbridled Acres in 2017.
